Edifici polivalent Arboretum
Un edifici situat en un carrer de nova construcció d’habitatges entre mitgeres es converteix en un edifici d’ús mixt: habitatge a planta baixa, despatx a la planta primera i espai polivalent al semisoterrani.
Edifici construït amb estructura de fusta prefabricada, bàsicament amb panells contralaminats de fusta local del Pirineu. Sistema fàcil de muntar que vam prefabricar nosaltres al taller i nosaltres, l’equip d’arquitectura i col•laboradors vam muntar in situ, gràcies a la senzillesa i gust de la fusta. L’edifici és energèticament casi autosuficient. Capta l’energia del sol a tota la superfície de la façana sud amb sistemes passius directes o indirectes, amb un mur de terra crua que acumula l’energia del sol per cedir-la durant la nit. La gràfica mostra la temperatura de confort a l’interior durant uns dies hivernals sense aport d’energia exterior altra que el sol. Uns panells fotovoltaics aporten l’energia elèctrica que necessita per funcionar.
Un espai buit de triple alçada central crea una sensació de semi exterior confortable a l’interior que reforça la percepció que el despatx i l’habitatge són dos prismes tancats massissos de fusta autoportant. L’estructura i les instal•lacions són molt clares, netes i despullades, de manera que són fàcils d’entendre i percebre.
A building placed in a street filled of new terraced houses, turns out into a mixed used building: house on the street level, office on the first floor and multipurpose space on the lookout basement.
Building made of prefabricated timber structure, mainly of X-lam panels made of local Pyrenees wood. Easy to assamble system which we prefabricated on the workshop and also ourselves, the architectural team with some other collaborators, mounted it in situ, thanks to the ease and taste of the wood. The building is nearly self-sufficient energetically speaking. It captures the sun energy through the southern façade using passive systems, with a raw earth wall which stores the sun energy to transfer it during the night. The graphic shows the inside comfort temperature during some winter days without any extra energy input than the sun. PV panels provide the electric energy needed to work.
A triple height empty space creates a sensation of semi exterior comfortable space which reinforces the perception of two different solid volumes, the office and the house, made of self supporting timber structure. The structure and installations are neat and clear, left uncovered and easy to understand.
